Hot! Hot! Xbox for $144 at Sears.. after PM

KB toys has 20% off everything on Friday March 5.

They were out of stock Xbox, so I went to Sears and pricematched with KB and bought the Xbox for $142. They didn't give me any hassle about it.

They also had HDTV cable kit for xbox for only $18.


**** I paid $144 for the xbox ****

Here is the kicker...

KB is going to have another 20% off sale on March 12th...

seeing as it relies on KB's clearance sale and Sear's willingness to pricematch, it's a fair deal.


But a refurb XBox can still be had for cheaper.

and a big ymmv ..my local Sears always calls down to the other stores in the mall on things like this and if OOS,clearance,last one,etc. is mentioned..PM goes nowhere..ime..

That's right. I dropped by KBtoys, and they had fliers for these, but I called all the Kbtoys and they were out of stock. Anyone know any other store besides Sears that might PM for it even it it is OOS.

Just a heads-up--TransWorld corporate has already sent out notification to their stores that price drops are imminent on X-Box and PS2 down to $149. No date set in stone yet, but it should be very soon. I'm sure other chains have received notification on this as well.

In any case, $144 is a great deal for those of you who can either find one in stock at KB or PM elsewhere, but a $149 base price will make for some even hotter deals in a short while..

Good timing too since the XBox I have had since launch is in the processing of dying...well, the DVD drive is dying I should say.
