Not bad...they have these deals periodically, although you gotta be lucky enough to find a coupon that works.

Excellent price...I just paid $63 for a toner cartridge for the ML-1710 I picked up around Thanksgiving time for $98 after rebate.

Just get a refill kit off Ebay. Works great, about $8 a shot.

I think the rebate is only good at office depot. At least the rebate form I have says "only at office depot" and says to include the office depot receipt. Are the other rebates not from OD? Also I ordered on wed at 5pm and it came in the afternoon on friday. Not bad, and the black and white tv/radio is kind of nifty for free; don't know what I'm going to use that for but hey, its free. I got the printer for printing sheet music and text, it looks like it should work great, and prints very fast. All for about $94 after taxes and rebate.

Thanks for bringing this deal back, I've been watching for cheap lasers since my trusty 6 yr old canon started acting crazy.

For toner, try thr refills that you buy off of e-bay. They cost about $7-8 each.

I have a Samsung ML-1210. The cartridge is about the same as the 1710 and is easy to fill.

I tried a 1710 and it would not work. It only supports a USB cable less tha 6'. I have a 12' run

I would like to get this, but I would need a cable run > 6', too. Is the length a limit of USB 1.1, or is it just this printer?

I just picked this up at Best Buy. Must be some sort of deal that Samsung is trying to get rid of the stock or just get the printer out in the market. Best Buy has a $120 rebate I actually thought about trying to price match to Buy.com so I would not have to do a rebate but I need the printer.

This printer is no longer listed as a current model on the Samsung website, so it's probably a closeout.

Nope, it is showing on the US site as a current printer.

But how good is this printer? I see reviews all over the place from editors choice to people who say it is a bad quality text printer at best! I sure would not mind trying it. I have an old HP IIIP at 4PPM and 300dpi. Would this be better?
