ok... its only hot hot if you can use the coupons from TechBargains website.

anyway, Overstock.com has pretty good prices even without coupons:

(just do a search for "lexar" once you are on Overstock.com's website)

Lexar Universal Reader (USB)-----> $34.99
Lexar 16 meg SmartMedia----------> $23.77

***overstock.com does not define the reader as USB but if you go to Lexar's site you can see that the model number indicates that it IS the USB version***

ALL WITH FREE SHIPPING TOO!!

coupons good for "new customers":

$20 off of $50
$10 off of $30 (using Mastercard)

have fun!

Does anyone know it is USB or Parallel? If it only can use Parallel port, then it is not very hot

it looks like it would have to be the USB version..

go to Lexar page and compare the model number with the one at overstock.com

Here are just a few items that might be relevent. The back cover of current Digital Camera magazine [Dec] has the full-page Lexar ad [and this applies to "4X" film only: $20 rebate on 16 or 32MB, $40 rebate on 48, 64 and 80MB. And all come specially-bundled with a "JumpShot" [Universal?] USB cable. I believe I picked up the 64MB for about a C-note......Oh net $120 from buy.com w/$10 coupon. The rebate form says purchase must be by Dec 31 and form postmarked by Jan 31st.

2. The literature of my new digicam which came with a 16MG Lexar CF includes the following:
"Order additional Lexar Media USB-Enable CF Digital Film and receive a 15% discount [promotion code source "OEMFILM"][picture is of 8X film].
Also, receive a 50% discount on Lexar's JumpShot USB cable [$9.99+S/H]Code "OEMJUMP". Both expire Sept. 2001

Terrific!

that adds some nice credibility to the Lexar product!!

thanx blade!

P.S. you might get a spanking by the Moderators for posting discount codes.. ;)

Yeah I'm also wondering the same thing that Time2Kill is. After reading the Logitech thread I became very weary of purchasing products from Overstock.com

I just don't feel totally comfortable in buying a "new" product which comes in a white box, without the retail box, esp the UPC. Maybe it's just me and I'm weird (don't answer that).

Whaddya guys think?

Yes, I can confirm the Lexar CF Cards come only in bubblewrap and do not include box, UPC, etc.

I tried to write, scrubberman, that I'm using the furnished 16MB lexar card and haven't opened the 64MB or JumpShot. It's my pleasure to pay-back the Forum a little bit.

i think that they sold out of both of these items... they cant be found anywhere on their site... unless maybe there is just some sort of screw-up going on over there right now...

sorry..... :(

Sorry I'm lagging behind, trying new digicam, smile [lordy]. Should someone _really_ want a larger CF card, I don't think Kingston would be a bad bet. The Jump Shot cable, well let's hope it's universal [lexar] and had for the $10+. The only thing I have now is buy.com Kingston 64MB for about net $85. If you need the coupon/shipping/rebate info just leave another message here I don't want to disturb the gods by posting links/websites.

FYI -
Just got a couple Logitech Webcams from Overstock.com, 1 had a cracked software CD, and both webcams had what looked like ink stains on them. Both didnt work well at all. Just wanted to share my experience. I dont see anything on the website saying these things are refurbs, but they sure are JUNK!

I also got a "Home" webcam from Overstock.com that doesn't work, I will never buy from them again. They really suck, this is not suppose to be a used cam either. Looks like they are selling all return cams?:|

This is a really dumb question regarding Compact flash cards,
What is the best way to store them while you are on the road?
