They are offering free shipping through this month (Nov) in electronics store. No code needed. You can see the "free shipping" tag on every electronic products. That's a big saving consider the amazon guys always get you on shipping. Enjoy ppl.

I didn't know people still shopped at Amazon...I have never found 1 single deal there that I couldn't find elsewhere for a cheaper price; moreover, their shipping times blew...I ordered from there once, on a pre-release game...which was quoted at being shipped in ~7-14 days from the time it arrived there...unacceptable

I wouldn't shop there if it wasn't for the bazillion GC's opportunities out there... but free stuff is acceptable.

I once pre-ordered a DVD that never came through..they must have lost my order. Still, though, GC's make it worth it.

Yes you can use the $15 off coupon flowing around with this free shipping offer. I just ordered some stuff there.

I would never normally shop from here but when you get a camcorder, handspring visor, dremel rotary tool, video card plus many other things for free by using the GC's then it's worth it. I just bought a router for my cable connection that was normally $114 but after the $15 off, free shipping and $30 rebate it came to $69. Glad I waited for the free shipping. :)

The router is the netgear RT311. There is a problem however - the rebate that they have is good for June of 2000 :( I'm waiting for a reply from a CSR about the rebate.

A bit OT, I apologize, but does anyone have a spare $20-off-$100 in the Photo Dept. code they're not using? Amazon sent them to just about everyone last week. I deleted it thinking I wouldn't use it, but now, of course, I need it. These are one-time use codes, so no use posting here (even if that were allowed). Please msg me if you have a code you're not going to use. I really appreciate it.

How do all of you get so many GC's? I only received one before and that was a freebie from a survey a while ago.

Order from amazon? Their shipping is definitely screwed. It took more than a week to ship an in-stock (usually ships within 24 hours) item. They cancel orders w/o notifying you and you can find better prices elsewhere.

Like it was said before, unless you have GCs to burn, avoid amazon like plague for electronics.

I completely disagree with the criticism of Amazon. They don't hav ehte lowest prices, no, but I'd say they're tied with Outpost.com for the best customer service. They regularly ship my orders same day (no body else does that). I've ordered a lot from them, and the couple times I've had problems they've gone out of their way to make sure I was happy.

best customer service? you gotta be kidding! (seriously though, my post only reflects my own experience with amazon, yours may vary)

anyway, the last time i talked to an amazon csr, i was told that they would ship the item next day with faster shipping (free upgrade), but the next day they cancelled my order w/o saying anything to me. now, that's not something i would call the best customer service, but ymmv.

Agree with sirsolo, yeah, their CSR talk to you nicely, but they lie to you many times about their promises after you hang up the phone

Well I agree, it's kind of a silly argument, since what matters most is the service they gave each of us individually. But they have a rating of 9 on bizrate, so I must not be the only satisfied customer.
