Check the other post out. Someone mentioned you can call one of the stores and have it shipped.

Now I just need to decide if I really "need" one yet or not. I just got a WD 80 gig from a deal a couple weeks ago.

Yep, they'll take phone orders and ship the items. Call the Sunnyvale store (408-617-1300) and ask for the Telesales department. You'll need the item part number and tell them how much the So. Cal. Fry's stores are selling it for. You can get the part numbers off the Outpost.com website. I was quoted $10-$15 shipping to the East Coast but I never got final confirmation of that because they don't take American Express and I chose not to purchase (I wanted to do the BVG dance). One odd thing, the price I was quoted was $149 w/ $50 MIR, while this thread states that it should be $139 today. Hope this helps.

Picked mine up at the Phoenix location today. The lady filled the rebate information out right there in front of me and said that she would take care of it. Is this how the previously did the rebate on the drive when they had the 50 off last time? Never have I ever seen that before.

I need a clear copy also, you can hardly read mine. I found this rebate for Outpost.com which we all know is affiliated with Fry's but the rebate forms are a bit different. It is also a $20 rebate for a Seagate Barracuda IV drive, I'm not sure if it will work for the Fry's B&M deal.

EDIT: I read the Outpost rebate and it is a $20 and not $50 but you can take the info from that rebate and do a little guessing to match things up with the Fry's rebate.

They should have some in stock, you have to actually go and pick it up at the front counter. I had no problems getting mine, to the best of my knowledge it wasn't highly publicized.

hmmm, I just called the sunnyvale store, the person they said to talk to telesales just left for the day and he then told me that it's their policy that they don't ship sale items. Everyone I talked to in the store was very helpful, up to that point. LOL


I want a Fry's! Not even here in the midwest do I get any kimd of service from Best Buy.

I would get one of you guys to get me one, but I need a receipt to turn into my compnay because they will pay 1/3. Actually I guess if you paid cash for it so your info wasn't on the receipt. Anyone? I think it's today only though, isn't it?
