well I always thought the double posters must have been on 56k connections, but I now know otherwise.

okay if my fry's history serves me correctly, they went from a grocery store with some slavage computer parts, to a computer store with snacks by the check out? well than why can't they expand out of california? I have to ask my uncle to pick me up all these deals, but a tv? shipping would kill the deal, grrr. Oh well.

I just found out Best Buy has this TV for $400. If you take it the Fry's ad and pricematch it. Best Buy will sell it to you for $234! The pricematch price plus 10% more off! Last day to do it tho!

Mikey,

Which So Cal Fry's did you go to? I had my dad try the Manhattan Beach location and the "supervisor" told him that they would not honor the "northern region's" prices, even if they had the TV in stock (which they didn't). "Other regions have different pricing and marketing schemes" they said. I told him to have them call a Northern Cal store but then this happened.
So... how did you do it?

Please someone scan this add immediately and send it my way. I'd like to PM at BB with it. I've been franticaly searching and browsing for a deal on a decent consumer 27' tv for about 1 year and a half. This $%^& 13' tv I had for like more than half my life(21) is killing me. It's no fun playing video games on it no more. I have $250-300 to spare for a tv.

ARGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! What the heck is this Fry's stuff?? I always read about them. What is it, like one store in the US?? I've lived in washington (state), illinois, kentucky and now missouri (i'm in trouble with the law, j/k ;)) and I've never heard of Fry's.

Any way to pricematch that deal with Best Buy locally?? Do they have a web page i can print out or something??

frys food store = kroger
frys electronics = incredible universe (now defunct)

these 2 stores are not affiliated

frys electronics in phoenix, az doesn't have this tv in their ad, they have another 27" pos, but it ain't this one.

frys are in az, ca, tx, ore?

Go to any Fry's in So Cal and tell them to call any of the Northern Cali branches to verify the price. They said that the prices are universal in Cali so So Cal has to honor the price.

Hey xMikeymikex,

Which store did you go to?
The Manhattan Beach store is always lousy at this kind of stuff.
I'd rather just drive to the good frys.

jonnyfin, I read on another forum that the Phoneix store does have this model at this price, but it's un-announced. Call them up and see what the register price is. I was tempted to get one, but don't have enough dough to burn right now.

MIKEY,

I called Burbank, and the rep i spoke to was so sure that they could do it. and i asked him "are you sure, because I don't want to drive all the way there and be rejected", so he asked someone else just to make sure, and i could hear them in the background. basically, he kept saying that it should be ok since it's the same store, but the other guy's argument was that it is a different region (north and so. cal), and the final decision was "sorry, i guess we can't do it."

It's the last minute, but if you can get to a store that will do it tonight, you'll be stoked! :)

Alright after countless hours of trying to work this deal it's all come to a waste. The Fry's in Nor Cal and So Cal initally said they used the same system but they really don't. After going to Fry's in So Cal they said they will not honor the price of the Nor Cal ad.
Good deal for all the ones in Nor Cal.
