From the back page of today's flyer - Buy 2 five packs of Maxell DVD + or - R and get a third five pack free. The five packs are on sale for ~$10 each, so that's 15 DVD's for $20. That's about $1.33 each and includes jewel cases. Per the Ad, it's supposed to be limited to 3 five packs, but my store didn't have a problem selling me 9 five packs. I ran disc ID's on the ones I bought and:

DVD-R (2X) - MXLR G01
DVD+R (4X) - RICOHJPNR01

The -R's are made in Japan and are considered very high quality. Here are some test results performed by a Swedish company, originated by the German C!T Magazine:

The +R's are made in Taiwan. I believe these are the same as the Memorex 4X discs which Best Buy had on sale recently. Office Depot also had 2.4X +R's, but I didn't buy any of those.

Nice deal.

DVD+R are 2.4X and DVD-R are 2X. BTW, these are in-store specials only, meaning B&M not on-line.

I didn't realize that Office Depot accepted competitor's coupons. I looked unsuccessfully for a printable OD coupon before I went to the store.

Just recently bought a Sony 510AX, so maybe I should jump into the fray. Sounds like a HOT deal to me!

Yes, the -R's are in an orange box (marked "2x Certified"). DVD's are Green on top, Dark purple on the bottom. Edit - I think I'll grab some more of the -R discs.
