I have three harddrives in my case

1 IBM 75gxp 30 gb
1 seagate barracuda 28,5 gb
1 WD 80gb 7200 rpm

They run hottt!!.. Almost too hot to touch!
Is this really normal?
Are the drives able to cope with such temperatures for a very long time??

It's normal. 7200+RPM drives tend to get hot. And yes, they can take it, but it doesn't hurt to keep them a little cooler. If you are worried about them put a fan in to circulate air by them.
