The GRC Port probe now takes 9 seconds rather than 9 minutes to tell if your ports are in stealth mode or not!
They are now using "NanoProbe" Technology, which will soon add features to their standard port probe.

There is also a patch to the Windows XP RawSocket Problem.

Great - thanks!

Confirmed that my Netgear Router RT314 is Stealth for all 12 ports they test!

Strange...all of my ports were stealth the last time I used this. Now FTP, Telnet, and HTTP appear to be open. I haven't made any changes to my RT314...as far as I know, all ports should be shut. If I try to ftp or telnet, the connection is refused. If I http to the address, I am prompted for authentication information. I think this is seeing the WAN interface on the RT314. Does anyone know if I can have port 80 drop all traffic? I took a look at the filters and they look a bit confusing...a link would be appreciated too.

Humm!

My Windows XP with firewall turned on on my ethernet port shows up as stealth for all ports! Good ... very good! :)
