Best cooking show ever produced. For quite awhile this has been offered on VHS. I refuse to buy VHS anymore...

Great show. I have been saving these into my PVR and putting them on DVD for a while. These would be nice as the quality would certainly be better.

Any inside scoops on this show? I wonder if the "sister" is really Alton's sister, or if the oriental woman is Alton's wife. Anyway, Alton is very funny and very talented. I imagine that he was a class clown/chemistry major/cooking hobbyist/drama club combo guy who just happened to find his way into his perfect job.

I hear that. Both my girlfriend and I can't stand to sit through an entire Emeril Live show. Essence of Emeril is a little more bearable. Our favorites though are Good Eats and Food 911.

I'm curious about some of that inside stuff too. From what I remember reading (check out his bio pages on Foodtv.com), he originally went into film with his wife, but it was kind of a flop or something. He ended up going into cooking and his wife is his producer. That's all I can remember, I hope it's right.
