Newegg combo deal

CPUs available:
Core 2 Quad Q6600
Core 2 Duo E6850
Core 2 Duo E6750
Core 2 Duo E6550

Here's the dealio - The Rosewill RCX-Z775-SL fan/heatsink is normally (supposedly) around $40. It is a "tower" heatsink for socket LGA 775 with heatpipes and a 92mm fan, similar to all those other ones on the market. Right now this HSF has an instant $15 discount, plus a $15 rebate, plus free shipping. Final price is $9.99 shipped.

If you buy the heatsink as a combo deal with one of the above listed CPUs, you get an additional $15 off!!!

Here's the math using an E6750 as an example (the one I'm ordering):
E6750 retail box CPU $195
Shipping $FREE
Rosewill HSF $40
Shipping $FREE
Instant discount on HSF -$15
Rebate on HSF -$15
Combo discount on CPU/HSF -$15

Total shipped price after rebate $190

That's a pretty darn good price for a Core 2 Duo E6750 retail box, not even counting the extra HSF. Heck, sell the extra HSF and knock another $10-20 off the price of the CPU.

Thanks!! I've been toying with finally pulling the trigger on a c2d upgrade for a while now, to the point of having all the components in my cart at newegg earlier. The additional cost of a decent HSF was the one thing hanging me up (couldnt decide if I 'needed' one or not for a mild OC).

This just made that irrelevant!

Placed my order, looking forward to finally going dual core.

Congrats. I also ordered one, the E6750. Time to replace my 2 year old x2 3800+.

I got the same processor, seems like by far the best bang-4-buck. Hell, the whole bundle, processor, mobo, ram and additional heatsink only came to about $25 more than what just the processor cost for my last build (amd 4000+)

would have been smarter for newegg to blow out slower selling oem CPU's this way but still a great deal for anyone still wanting to cash in on a C2D/Q.

awesome value getting an E6750 and aftermarket heatsink for under 200 shipped.
