Yet another good deal from MERCATA. As before if your a new customer you get 20% off plus another 20% by using a MSN Passport. Make sure you go through ebates to get another 5%!(yes it works I already did this)
Here's my example:
  1. Fuji 2.1 Megapixel Digital Camera w/1600 x 1200 Resolution, FinePix 2400 Zoom
  2. Current PowerBuy price: $375.79
  3. MSN Wallet Discount: -$67.95
  4. Mercata$ Reserved: -$75.23
  5. ebates rebate: -$18.79
  6. Total BEFORE shipping & Tax(WA&PA) = $213.82
Of course the price keeps coming down with the more buyers there are.
Hurry though the Mercata 20% is only good for a couple more days!
Here is a review of the camera: Camera Review!

Get the Nikon Coolpix 800 from mercata for almost the same price doing the same steps as listed above plus using $75 rebate from nikon. I here it's a better camera than the Fuji. Alos it has a video-out but the Fuji doesn't.

Dammit, the current power buy has this camera for $675... maybe Mercata has caught on...

I can't get ebates to work. I get as far as the MSN Passpot wallet, but when it accesses my Passport info, the ebates screen disappears, and I figured my link is lost. This occurs with Netscape; if I use IE 5.5, Mercata just crashes when Passport is selected, and default backs to the Mercata main screen.

Anyone else have this problem?

Ummm..."cbass", your looking at the wrong camera:eek:. The Fujifilm Finepix 40i is $675 the Finepix 2400 is down to $368! Unfortunately the latest review at The Digital Camera Resource Page makes it seem only average compared to similar cameras.:frown:
And "Centralscrutinizer", it did the same thing to me in IE5.5 so I opened up another browser and went thru Mercata like I was gonna purchase it step by step until I saw my personal info appear(which I couldn't get it to do thru ebates). Then I closed that browser and re-tried the ebates browser and the screen finally appeard-weird but hey it worked!:D I will have to wait & see if the rebate ever comes from ebates though.

I'd go for the Nikon CoolPix 800, which, through Mercata, costs about $25 more, but IMO is a far better camera than the Fuji Finepix.

Final cost: ($500 mercata, less $100 Mercata dollars, less $80 discount(MSN Passport 20% off), less $75 rebate)=$245. If you can get ebates to work, you can get an additional $17 off.

The Nikon 800 has the same CCD and other guts as the 950, with a few less features (2x instead of 3x). Check out this review, particularly the sample photos:
