I used ebates as well for a total of about $586. This monitor has a rising response time of 15ms and a falling time of 10ms, as well as DVI, a built in USB hub and speakers (that that ill use them). Its available in black and beige. Can anyone do better ???

My take is that most of us in the market for LCD jumped in the Recent Dell LCD deals. I personally owned a Planar 18.1 in LCD and still jumped on the 2000FP Deal at $820.

I'll bite: That's about $200 then the lowest price I am showing on pricegrabber.

Stats look good too. Fast bright screen.

Anyone have this Planar and can tell us if it looks great?

Nice. But even if I got this, I'd still be dissapointed that I missed out on the 2000FP.

Why? The 2000FP has one big bezel on it. I don't think I'd care for that much plastic on my desktop -- and only gain 1" of diagnal viewing area.

Yes, this is a very hot deal. I've been using my PL191M-BK for 3 months now. I'm still impressed each time I look at it. I had a 2nd Planar PL191M-BK still sealed in the box which I just sold earlier this evening at Ebay for a "buy it now" price of $700 + $40 shipping. :Q - Gotta love Ebay. ;)

I'm just glad that I didn't advertise the monitor for sale on this forum under the F/S section. Heck, at $586 for one shipped from Dell, nobody would have purchased mine.

Anyone have this Planar and can tell us if it looks great?
Yes, it looks great, performs great, etc. Please let me know if you have any additional specific questions.

Hot as hell to me!!! I have the exact same monitor, bought from Dell about two months ago. At the time, I got what I thought was a great deal. I paid somewhere around $782.00 for it and then talked the CSR (a week later because they dropped the price on it) into a $50.00 credit on my account!!!

For anyone thinking about buying this, let me tell you first hand, it is one beautiful piece of art!!!:D

I LOVE MY PLANAR!!!;)

2 reasons. 1600, and 1200. I used to have the Planar 17.4". Had it gone 1600x1200, i'd have never sold it. Oh, and you gain 1.1" of viewing area ;)

Can owners of this LCD comment on how well this one handles fast paced games? I had just recently read that 1900FP from dell and the Samsung 191T have severe ghosting problems in games.

thanks in advance..

I see. The resolution of 1600 x 1200 is good. For some people, this might be too high of a resolution for them. Still, a good deal though for a 20" LCD.

I sure would like to get this since it looks to be the new and improved version of what I have (CT1904Z) but my current LCD is perfect... I had to go through sending my 1st one back to Dell which had 4-dead pixels, only to receive one with 6-dead pixels. So then I called up Planar and they sent me this perfect one.

Are any of these showing up with dead pixels from Dell?
