hey guys, i just got this in the mail with my BMW bill. if you own a BMW (motorcycle in my case, but also car and maybe even a MINI as it is owned by BMW), you can sign up for a free copy of the DVD for the film series "The Hire" Season 2. here is a link:

http://usa.bmwfilms.com/dvd.asp?template=dvd&country=usa&film=

apparently it is not shipping yet, but they will want your VIN from your car to validate the free DVD. cool freebie, i have the season 1 DVD and it is pretty neat. yeah, i know, BMW propoganda film (hey, they are German, it is in their blood) but cool nonetheless.

Unless they're a BMW films fan: no.

And if you really want to be honest, non-owners can get it from them for only S&H.

i got season 1 the hire also at the LA auto show. Great stuff. Imo season 2 films werent as great. They focused more on the plot and characters than the actual cars and ther performance. The best film would have be the "star" film with madonna. I wish my car could drift like that ;()

BTW: Whats a VIN number and where is it on the car?

I'll have to make a stop at the dealer down the street from my house tonight 😀

I'll be nice, copy it off a 7 series, I doubt any of them are really going to want the dvd

VIN: Vehicle Identification Number

they can be found in various places. Most cars have them if you look from the outside. Driver side near the front of the dash where the windshield meets the hood. Its a small strip 16 digits can't remember exact but just think of it as your cars serial number. Tells country of origin, make, model year etc

you can also find it on the door, on the trunk when you open in, on the engine itself.

other places where you can find your VIN, Insurance papers atleast AAA prints them, on the title itself. I"m not sure if its on the registration I never notice it.

cool!
Thanks!

(Runs out on the street to find a BMW ....)

What did Reagan say to the workers:
You are hungry? Eat your foreign cars!
😀

damn, I wish I still had the VIN from the BMW I had. Good old '86 528e. wait...I bet I can get the VIN of the M1. maybe there's hope yet.

I bet these will be free to all when it comes out in Spring. For the first season all you had to do was call BMW or go to a dealer and ask for the promotional DVD.

For my DVD I just called and they sent it free of charge, and I don't own a BMW.
