This is actually very HOT. Great for people that want standard. It has overclocking options in fsb mhz, which should allow mild overclocking and i heard its not wise to increase cpu voltage on those newer 800mhz northwoods.

what happened is foxconn badly miscalculated their supply lines and ended up with too many of these so now they're unloading motherboards where ever they can.

Foxconn has been around since the early 80's making PC related components (cables, connectors, etc.). I think they just recently started making MBs (i.e. within the last few years.)

"Foxconn is the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. Hon Hai is a global leader in providing mechanical and electromechanical solutions to the communications, consumer, and computer industries. The world's largest manufacturer of PC connectors, Hon Hai is also one of the world's leading manufacturers of cable assemblies, desktop PC chassis, and server enclosures. "

what I find odd about the "blowouts" on these is that they happen to be the more feature packed SATA with RAID versions that are on sale for about $30 less than their similar models w/o SATA RAID... go figure... wonder if there's something wrong with their RAID versions and they're wanting to clear them out...

Wow this sounds like a pretty good deal. Seems to have a lot of features (i.e. sata, raid, etc.) I've heard of their psu's before, but never owned them.

So, is there any reason not to pay $3 more and get the 865G version with integrated graphics? Looking at Anand's 865P review, it seems that the G has the same core as the PE:

865P Review

I assume that with the onboard graphics disabled, there would be no performance hit.

Damn Newegg blowouts - they just may turn me to the dark side . . .

Shucks - they just sold out of the G version!

Whew! I was only minutes away from joining the dark side - the closest I've ever come!
