HOT for Whistler? Is there one or will there be one?

dont worry it sucks. I have 2416 and I installed it once and went back to win2k. My main gripe is that it does not have drivers for my old scsi card. But it seems slower and all of the new eyecandy kinda annoys me. Plus it uses more ram.
 
I was just talking to AMB(Anandtech Member) ,about this he said don`t bother it`s slow even with 256mb & 900mhz T-bird,lets hope the final version is alot better.

You can turn the eye candy off and it uses less memory and runs much faster. Also on some laptops it doesn't run that well. It is also BETA still, so some of the drivers WON'T be available. Figure when it is released this July or August it will be better with even more drivers.
 
OK, point taken about it being maybe not so good.

But, assuming I want to try it, I'm thinking we were able to get the W2K HOT from M$ft when it went to Beta 3?

I seem to recall that it has a few features that I would like to have. And, I don't care to try ME. W98SE is stable enough, until I dual boot to NT based.

I just thought maybe some of you fast-trackers had heard something about a HOT.
