Well, understood. Years ago I thought the same thing, but my fiancee and all her friends swear those products are worth the price. Also, you need to use the coupon code at check out to get the 50% off.

Haha... hey not judging as I know zilch about them products. Just surprised that a hairdryer can be worth so much is all.

I was the same way. I do not use them. Heck, I know lots of it is,marketing. However, every girl I know that tries those hair products say they do work better than your hair products that you can buy at your typical pharmacy or retail store. Who am I to contest it? My hair is short. I do not use that stuff. For all i know, the price increase could be just from a 50¢ device that transfers heat better.

It's like the guys here who will pay $200+ for 1000W Seasonic PSU when all they really need is a $50 500W Sparkle/Fortron.

I noticed this thread hasn't actually attracted any women. All it did was bring out all the men who don't get why hairdryers should cost $200+... 😀

got one! the thing is, this isn't $200 with the coupon code, it's "only" $80 shipped, so it's not that much more than a nicer hairdryer from CVS or Walgreens, and if it will make the lady happy, it's worth it.

Felt the need to comment. My daughter twisted my arm into getting her the 1 1/2" iron a couple of months ago. It cost about $100 with a $20 coupon at sephura. Am I pissed I missed this. She swears she did a lot of research and this is by far better than the other irons out there. She says it will never burn her hair which is a problem with most irons. And that most are 1" or less so this will save her a lot of time. And that these irons last much longer than regular ones (IT BETTER). She has had it for a few months and loves it. I was as shocked as you when I heard the price. I think 50% off was a great deal for anyone who was going to buy one anyway.

just felt the need to vent.

Deal is now dead, but thanks. It is one if those you have to experince to understand kind of deals. My fiancee says the same thing about not burning her hair and taking less time.

Me and my gf spent an hour at the mall letting some guy from Liv do her hair. She already has a ceramic tourmaline flat iron. The one from Liv works off infrared and has a ceramic plates, not a mere coating like most others. I haggled him down to $100 but he wouldnt take $80. They are a good deal at $100. You dont even need to use a hair dryer at all. It literally dries the hair while it straightens. D: Seriously. He sprayed her hair with water and then ran the damn thing through it and it works. Works great. I would pay $100 for one I guess. You figure if you're in the market for a hair dryer and those cost $20 so why not just spend $100 and not have to deal with the hair dryer at all.
