Yes smoking is bad for you....But might as well save some $'s if you must.
As a non smoker, who never ever wants to start.
Yeah smoking is bad for you long term, it has a very good chance to kill you.
But smoking is also a drug, just like a prescription drug, and it does a whole lot of things with neurotransmitters and chemicals that are positive things. Things such as giving you focus, treating depression, enhancing pleasure, etc.
Sure there are better ways to treat focus and depression that will not mess you up long term, but do not dismiss the awesome power that is in that cigarette. Respect that power. That instant effect and how it gives you instant focus and instant mood elevation may feel good and euphoric but it is the same method of action that gets you addicted. If you are using it to self medicate a problem away (Depression, attention issues, memory issues, emotional regulation, anxiety, etc) there are much better medicines out there that also treat these problems but won't kill you or harm your health and are not as addictive.
(Smoking also while it does many positive things with neurotransmitters in the short term, also does many bad things with neurotransmitters in the long term, and these things get worse for the withdrawal period until your body corrects itself over several months).

Yeah do not start smoking, but if you start smoking for it feels good, you may have an actual problem that can be treated long term in a much better way than smoking.
