HOT for Canadians!! NetGear RT314 @ Future Shop for 69.99CAN/43.75US

0) The Netgear RT-314 doesn't work with my system and mediaone, nor does it work with a friends
system and earthlink.
1) Their tech support sucks.
2) Netgear jerked me big time.

You can read the details at netgear weasels

Their tech support leaves a lot to be desired, but I've had absolutely no regrets about getting my RT314. Works great with my Macintosh, my PC and Road Runner. It just sits here and runs, 24 hours a day...almost never any issues.

I got it last May/June when CompUSA paid me $34.00 to take it :Q Those were the good old days.

I'm not saying that any of the above is not true (I don't know). What I do know is that the Netgear rt314 is the exact same hardware platform as the Zyxel professional brand of routers. These routers have more professional features than any other router out there at this price point. There is also a large, die-hard following for this router here: DSL Reports Zyxel / Netgear Forums

(Yes, I do own one, and it rocks.)

did the same, except bought 4 and sold 3 of them at 80 bucks each 😀

i have the rt314 and it kicks ass. recommended a friend and it works for him too.

[edit] but ill admit i havent had to talk to tech support so i dont know how good they are. i guess that can be a good thing if your router works [/edit]
