Hot flashing BIOS HELP from experts

Oh geez a BIOS flash that went bad - Need some help hot flashing (Only from those who previously encountered this problem).
Here is what happened. Tried flashing the ASUS CUVX with ver 1007 and it failed AFTER erasing the old BIOS. Tried again NO GO. Then I made the big mistake of doing a warm reboot and it will not reboot. Switched off and removed battery still no go (I guess because BIOS is erased). Screw ASUS winflash program I will never again use it.
I want to attempt flashing the BIOS chip in my P3V4X board while it is at A:> prompt that is, removing the P3V4X and insert the CUVX BIOS and then replacing back again. What do u think - need help from someone experienced.
Specifically if I can do this and IF board versions could cause a problem.

Yep that was exactly what I was going to do. Good point about keeping the good BIOS chip for easy removal after it is powered on. Now to try this out.

Well it worked. The new aflash utility from ASUS web site did not work. Had to go back to the one on the CD. Anyways I am one happy camper since I needed this computer up and running by Tuesday and I was hoping not replace the Mobo. Alls well that ends well. First time for me hot flashing Bioses.
