Hot Fix that slows down comp?

I remember reading about a Hot Fix that will slow your computer down. What was the number of that hot fix?

It doesn't matter, since it was fixed and a new version was released. It was 811493 though I believe. The OS forum is the appropriate place to look for this type of thing.

I had to remove that fix , does it now mean I can update that fix again? I see it always on the update list but am not willing to take a chance on it again. Why did they not just change the number? Gene
