says its a system pull. this board is used in a lot of compaq machines, so its good as a replacement for those if yours broke also.

there are also 2 USR pci modems 56k for $5 and a gvc lucent one for $4.95. combine this with a cheap nic, and some el cheapo hard drive laying around (hopefully the duron 1000 and the ram come in stock) and you can almost built a whole computer for less than $100 . youd need a cheap vid card too like a tnt vanta, or could even make it a light gaming stystem($30 gf2 mx 200 in the other thread looks good, as well as the $5 3com usb nic).



shipping is reasonable. i checked how much 1 mobo, 1 fan, 1 case costs and shipping was like $17 which isnt bad considering there is a case involved. not to mention they are in Utah so no tax for us cali peeps.

like 100 cell phone fm headsets, for $50 or so. and like lots of like 8 motherboards and CPUs etc. these people must be insane . no i dont work for this store. i just think that these deals are just way too cheap.
 
I was just about to post the AZ31 as a hot deal 🙂

I have this board in a second (or third, but who's counting) system. IMHO it's a good little board with little or no issues. It's not the fastest, but I just do some light surfing and play some RTS games on it.

I've heard with FIC if it works, you're fine. A lot of their probs are quality control issues and alot of them arrive DOA. In fact, the only other board I bought from them died within a week of owning it (SD11).

Anyhow, a Socket A board for $10 is a steal.

Sweet, they must have restocked, the case and both mobos were all gone yesterday.

They had some Banshees for $8, but they disappeared before I could get one. If everything was in stock at once, you really could build a $100 computer.

Return of the Andara Barebones

Ordered May 2nd, shipped same day, delivery expected May 9th (thursday)

Planned to post this as the Return of the Andara Barebones (running 3 from that old hot deal), if the gear checked out ok. A socket A mobo, and good quality mATX case with 240w power, for under $25 (+ fair shipping) is a VERY HOT DEAL to me. Most other system parts are there too, and cheap.

Took $1.25 toothbrush, $2 keyboard, and $5 speakers out of my order as it was bumping up the shipping total, for stuff I don't really need.

Good deals on HS/fans, speakers, sound cards, floppy drives, and modems (including the finicky GVC PCtel modem from the original Andara Barebones, not recommended!).

An AZ31 seller on ebay links to an AZ11e/AZ11ae bios update, with morgan core support, which suggests that this 200Mhz board may (may!) be able to run 1Gig and faster Duron chips. Can anyone confirm this is possible?

The AZ31 is rated to handle 1.3Ghz Athlons, and may run 1.4Ghz with the right bios and good power. The 240w Delta supply in the $14 Andara case may not be strong enough for the faster Athlons. I have one running solid in a loaded up system (Athlon 950, CDrom, CDRW, HD, GeForce GTS2, modem, nic).

The $11 memory and $35 Duron have shown up as out-of-stock since I started checking a week ago. The AZ31 and $14 Andara case have come in and out of stock.

Looking for deals on Duron chips, AGP video cards, and hard drives to make more dirt-cheap gaming systems.

sucks is the ram is outta stock. i ended up getting 128mb , 24xcdrom and a floppy from fsf/ft for $45 shipped to go with my $14 case, $10 mobo, and $5 fan. h

btw the guy who bought a case and thought it could fit the ECS board, its a mATX case so it wont fit.


you can now get 100 toothbrushes for $50. i had ordered like 10 of them, but then i realized it jacked up the shipping like $1.50 per toothbrush. so i canceled the toothbrushes by emailing their sales. they responded right away, and i already have a tracking number actually. andara seems to be really fast.

It does and to boot it is a microATX ps. Anywho, completed my order. Got one of them p3 1 gigger mobos and 2 of those fm radio thingies. Sister complains I never get her anyting. She can't now lol 🙂.
 
a lot of micro atx cases take normal full atx power supplies. my old inwin v500 did, and this one probably is just a normal atx power supply not a special sfx one
