I have the ecs mb with a sempron 3100 and a Lanboy case and a 9800xt. I look at speed fan, sandra. and everest, and they all show temps around 76 c with a warning that the mainboard is too hot. I have my comp set on SMART and the AMD is around 38c. The board has a heatsink. Is it really that hot in there? Is this temperature is coming from the orange heatsink near the AGP slot? Should i add another fan to the Lanboy? Should I replace the heatsink or add a fan there?

I belive the sempy will bottleneck your video card. You should look for another combo at outpost that comes with a AMD and something other than a ECS. Are you OCing any? Nforce 4 boards are great for OCing.

I have the 3100 overclocked to 2.25 on the ECS board, but I hear that it can probably do 2.4 . I hope to stay with this chip until Black Friday 2007 at least.
