Just a quick note... the Dead Space store page has an ominous warning about requiring online authorization and crap - ignore it.

Dead Space on Steam uses the standard Steam DRM, and the EA stuff has been disabled.
 
Has EA stuff been disabled for deadspace 2? Also is dead space 2 worth $20? I enjoyed th efirst one 'cept for the funky mouse control.

Apparently, it still has some form of restrictive DRM. Maybe later in the year they'll have it even cheaper, with the EA DRM rendered "inert" like the other older games.
 
Now that I think about it, they've gotten great pre-order numbers so far, which I bet covers them well for Q2. I expect to see BF3 hit steam for pre-order in Q3 when they want to make sure that they're taking in steady and strong pre-orders, and then when the game is released Q4, they get all the holiday sales.

So I expect BF3 to hit Steam in July/Aug. Probably not sooner, sadly.

I didn't care either way, I wanted to pre-order it. I wasn't expecting them to, but I was hoping. Recently, they have been trending towards 10% off all their pre-orders.

Either way, I was hoping for a BF3 pre-order on steam announcement. I don't want this any other way but steam.

As for the guy who mentioned BF3 steam pre-order on Q3....that's pretty smart....I didn't even think of that. I bet you are right.
