I got my E6400 in like 3 days no problem, its doing 3.2ghz right now.

I ordered 2 sets of ddr2 from monarch 2 weeks before i ordered the E6400 and they came in 3 days alos, and they were the lowest price on the net by like $35.00 each set.

and both sets are doing ddr2 900mhz on a Gigabye S-3.

thats 3 orders in november and no problems at all.

I am still out for $600 on order @Nov 1. No refund after on hold an hour on phone to cancel order Nov 17.
Read those comments on Hardocp and you see many ppl don't get refund since Aug.
How could you take more than 3 weeks to refund a CC transaction is beyond me...
You must be very lucky to get it on hand.

I don't understand why the credit card charges weren't just contested immediately. It's not worth losing the money. If I couldn't contact a company and my purchase wasn't being shipped, I'd have charged back immediately.

What's a comparable AMD processor to the E6400 Core 2. Just for referance sake. I'm impressed with this Intel processor and it's current price trend, but have not studied Intel in ages.

thanks

I think it's as fast as an AMD FX60/X2 5200. The E6600 is a little faster than the FX62 too. Yes, the new Intel Core 2's are really good.

I recently cancelled an order from Monarch and reported it to the credit card co. the same day and was told they have 30 days to re-imburse the charge. I eventually received my money back but it took almost the whole thirty days before they credited my card.

As for their site being down, I just checked by googling it and it seems to be normal.
I'd say maybe the deal that started this thread is down but the site seems normal..

spread the word..i went to monarch computer and their front doors are locked and there is a sign on it saying that they are closed and out of business . !!! as i was pulling up i saw some guys coming out and they loaded up some stuff in a truck while i was parking then they went back in. I waited for them to come out . they said they were employees for monarch and they have been in financial trouble for awhile. they will be out of their building in two or three weeks. they were bought by another company. THEY ARE STILL SELLING PRODUCTS !!!!!! DO NOT BUY !!!!! they are more than likely bankrupt and in trouble with corporate law and IRS..(that is my feeling last sentence not a fact but more than likely)

Orly? Interesting if true. Need some evidence though.

I went on the website to buy combos (CPU+MB+RAM) and they have stop combos as well. There might be some truth to this....

Wow, they pared their site down to almost nothing, selection is laughable but still pretending like all is well.
