Price is 779$. Use the 20% off coupon DELETED (Exp 5/25, 900) to get the price down to 623$ along with free shipping.

Use a 35$ off 300$ coupon to bring it down even more. After that coupon, it is ~588$ + the price for the coupon. The coupon costs ~$0.99 plus shipping on ebay. So totally it is $588.

5/25 Update: Deal is revived, thank you for the heads up Anonemous

There is the faster Inspiron E1505 (Dual Core) for $649 but no DVD Burner and no 9 cell.

If you're looking for a CHEAP laptop that isn't stripped, this is hard to beat.

I did get in for one of these... got the confirmation in the email box when I got home tonight.

We'll see if I keep it to replace my 1.5ghz 600m or sell it... hmmm.

It's not dead, there's a new coupon. Look on the front page of the SlickDeals and click on the COMMENTS section of the "expired deal" to this xps 140 deal. The front page has NOT been updated with a working code, the comments section will bring you to the new code that brings the deal down to $565 with true bright screen and 9 cell and dvd/rw (of course this requires a $35 off coupon on ebay). Don't forget fatcash and the 2% dpa promotions to push this down even more.

Total for me came out to be $605 shipped to CA.

Thanks for the deal rossman.

edit: Click on the the comments, for the deal on the front page, this will take you to their forums which will display the code. PM if you need the coupon.

didn't work for me, went to slickdeals, clicked on expired dell home link, got a "We need you to adjust your order." page. can someone pm me with the new code?

PM sent.

Just a head's up, if the price goes any lower or if you ordered the earlier laptop (w/o truebright screen), call up dell to PM or get concession coupons.

Thanks for the heads-up, RossMAN! I picked one of these up for $564 + shipping as a graduation present for my niece. This is a perfect laptop for a burgeoning college student. 😀
(and easy on Uncle Bub's wallet. 😀 )

I have one of these and it is a great lappy. i have 1gb of ram though. Other than not being able to play the latest games, it is very capable. I get 42 sec in 1m of pi. Not bad. My desktop should kick this in the pants, but I don't have any withdrawl when on the lappy. It is quite zippy for daily tasks. just thought I would add user comments for those on the fence.
