Hot deals

Why in the hot deals dept. you click on a deal only to find it a year old . Cant you delete the older deals say after the have been posted a month?

What's wrong with looking at the date of the post? Or are you talking about people who post deals where the deal is already a year old or something?

Sometimes the deals are recurring, sometimes we need to track what has happened with the deal. Particularly in the case with rebates and other "it's in the mail" deals.

I think expiring them out would suck worse than leaving them there...

Sometimes people post a reply to a deal that was available a few months ago. Usually they are looking for assistance with the item they bought. That's why you are seeing the old ones. Just look at the date of the original post for the deal.

If I'm not mistaken, this kind of crap is why some people are PO at the thread-sorting option for date-of-post rather than date-of-reply being removed, basically "just because" (Jason didn't think enough people used it).

Anyway, there's no way to tell date of post (unless it's in the title, or subtitle now) unless you open the thread, which I could see as being frustrating to a dialupper (being one myself).

Sorry Quackagator, but I don't think there's a simple solution to your problem. 🙁
