The 4000+ is the FX-53, basically, but the multiplier is still locked, to my knowledge. If you spend the extra for the FX-53, you get an unlocked multi. The 3500+ is comparable now to Newegg's price for the retail box, but not hot. The difference in prices for the FXes are decent, though - the FX-55 retail box at Newegg is 879.99 shipped.
Thus, the hottest "deals" here are on the highest speed grades. MC doesn't seem to have the 3000+ and 3200+ .09m chips. The prices on the low-ends are now just competitive with Newegg...until you factor in tax...
MC charges tax (which could cool off the deal considerably) in the following states due to B&M presence: CA, CO, GA, IL, KS, MA, MI, MN, NY, OH, PA, TX, and VA. If you're not in one of these states, rest assured MC is a reputable company and you can trust them - they're the closest things to Fry's we have here on the East Coast...and that's VERY depressing sometimes.
