then a new post? i just see alot of awesome deals that are dead..... id rather just not see them lol

How many threads per page are you set at?
I am at 100 and I don't see that many dead threads.

I almost agree - but think it might be a better idea if the OP (or maybe even a moderator) were to go back to threads after they're dead and edit the thread title to reflect that. It would be rather cumbersome to move every thread from hot deals to another forum (no deals are perpetual for eternity). And, if there were a reason for continued discussion "hey, did you guys get your rebates yet?", etc., then people would have trouble finding the old thread, someone would have to PM a mod to move the thread back to hot deals, etc. The current system seems to work great, with the exception of not visiting hot deals for a week, seeing an incredible deal (from the thread title), getting all excited, and opening the thread just to be let down because the deal ended yesterday. Marking those "dead" more consistently would be nice.

Most are only valid for a certain number of days. If it's not already a rule to include this information, perhaps make it one.

Otherwise, "live" deals continue to get bumped, and dead ones are forgotten. If you're reading back more than a few days, what do you expect?
