Hot Deals FAQ

Can we have a Hot Deals FAQ? Might be nice to have answers to questions like...

1. is the packing slip from staples good enough for rebate?
2. what is the upc code?
3. which numbers in the upc code should I send (inner #s, or all the #s)
4. what is staples/bb/cc/etc pricematching policy?
5. are coupon codes allowed?
etc...

Always a good idea to have and share info. You could help spearhead a FAQ. Get together with RossMAN and others to figure out what sorta stuff is important and write one. Once it's written, send it in to the mods and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets posted/stickied.

If they've got to put one together it won't be happening any time soon, they've got better things to do. Make it easy on 'em. 🙂

FrontlineWarrior - The Hot Deals forum already has a FAQ more or less, it's the very first thread titled "**** Hot Deals Forum Rules - Please read before posting ****".

I wish HawkeyeNJ were still around, he had some very helpful posts in the How Do I thread with Hot Deals acronyms, common Price Matching questions, etc. We'll miss him dearly wherever he is.

Unfortunately even if there were an *** OFFICIAL *** and *** CONFIRMED *** or even Anandtech Moderator posted FAQ, newbies will rarely read it, some even read it but still don't follow the advice and post stuff they know they shouldn't. Then again it's kinda hard to make 90,000+ people follow the same rules.

I think the mods Hot Deals forum rules thread serves it's purpose for now.
