Alright, I have no idea what the deal is with this place. I've never heard of them, and can't find solid mention of them through google. They do have some killer looking deals, though. Their website is through yahoo shopping, this is who registered the domain:

Yeah. Staples always has such deal and they are reputable. Example: they have the Quantum 40GB 4500RPM ATA/100 Hard Drive, OEM $138 - $30 coupon = $108. (sku im1222771).

My god 4500 is a slow assss drive.. I wouldnt give that kinda drive the time or the day. Its gotta be the worst idea in the world to make a drive with an rpm rating of below 5400.

Quantum made some 4400 or 4500 rpm drives, they make good addon drives for your Tivo

Dang... their memory prices are very nice too.. generic but at least with a lifetime warranty and compatible with all chipsets. Cheapest I have seen the 512MB PC133 DIMMS yet...

512MB PC133 SDRAM DIMM 64x64 3.3V (INDUSTRY STANDARD)(32X8)
$193.00

256MB PC133 SDRAM DIMM(INDUSTRY STANDARD)-Lifetime Warranty
$83.00

those 512MB chips would be awesome for all the VIA owners out there looking to max out their boards with 3DIMMS for 1.5GB of memory :)

"Generic memory w/lifetime warranty" = Warranty for as long as the retailer is in business. The memory chip manufacturer won't be backing it up, you can bet on that.

Agreed Doeboy...4500 is like forgeting to tie the bungee cord around your foot instead of your neck. Thank goodness my seagate x15 does 15000 rpm. I dont get better than that.

Found them in ResellersRatings under Alpha International Business Inc. Scored 3.8 from 14 evaluations since 1997 Link

They also have another online store here which explains their clearance section link.

That 256MB PC133 for $63 looks like the same memory that upgradeplanet had for $70-$80. It only runs on certain motherboards.

I remember when RAM was $2/mb,that was just about 5 months ago, when I started upgrading my machine. Now at this price, it's getting out of hand!

Rah good prices are good until you buy something and in a short time the price drops way down.

I don't see a significant difference between a 5400 rpm and 7200 rpm, unless you are doing some real video capturing.

I would go ahead and PM with staples and use the coupon, seems like a good deal.

You can't get the Quantum $30 rebate deal if you buy the drive from Staples. Check the bottom of the Quantum rebate form and you will see that it is limited to a list authorized vendors (Buy.com is listed but not Staples). I called Quantum and they confirmed that they would not honor the rebate if the drive is purchased from Staples. I called Staples and canceled my order. Still a good deal if purchased from Buy.com.
