I get bombarded with credit-card offers in the mail, and finally I took the time to read one of the offers. It says that if you want to get off of the mailing list, dial 1-888-5-opt-out(1-888-567-8688) then your personal info will not be spread anymore. I called and got my name taken off permanently. One of the last prompts you get it kinda funny:
First it says - "To get taken off the list for 2 years"
Second it says - "To get put back on the list" - HAHAHHAA
Third it says - "To get taken off permantently"
So be careful on that last one if you call. I would think about putting this in the hot-deals forum, but I'd probably get flamed.
