I disagree...

The exchange of differing view points is not only constructive but a healthy release. Often there is bad information that demands to be corrected. There have been many times I have been wrong in posts. I would rather be corrected then go on believing wrongly. I suggest that if these kinds of exchanges bother you...GO AWAY!

Oh and thanks for posting a link (just a pic at that) that requires a registration. Yes you made me waste my time! Congratulations.

Just for the record, I held today, in my hands, a 3870 WITH Bluetooth running, WITHOUT a sleeve. It wasn't mine, and I was at work so alas, I didn't have my digital camera. But there ain't no sleeve.

I called this number last night to see what kind of a deal I could get (I work for a university). It looks like you get about 20% what you're ordering, plus no tax. Thanks for the info, to think I would have paid retail for the 3870!!!

STOP THE PRESSES!

The RAM-installable versions of some features "missing" from the PPC2002 upgrade for the iPAQ 36xx series are now available:
MSN Messenger
Terminal Services Client

GetReal...why don't you tell me and everyone else you insulted what idiots we are again :|, since we obviously have these applications already on our upgrade CDs, and MS is simply making these available for download because they have too much time on their hands.

I believe that the 38xx is not going to get discounted so fast.

The X-Scale time is close. The 38xx will start to get down few months before the release of the X-Scale

Probably the same scenario as the past 4 months. The 36xx maintained the price until the 38xx was close to release.

When the X-Scale coming? Probably before the Holidays sales of this year.

GelflingTurndark: Thanks for the info ! This turned out to be a pretty hot deal for me ! I got the 3850 + 11Mbps Wireless Card + PC Card Sleeve for $589 ... with no tax and FREE shipping ! I also picked up a couple of accessories which were $5-20 cheaper than the commercial store prices. I'll also try to AmEx PM the 3850 for a further discount :)

One quick question - what all software did you get in the 3850 package ? Could you please let me know the complete list of accessories and software that came in this package. Much Thanks in advance !!

Anyone else ordered the 3850 thru Compaq Educational Sales recently ? They seem to be heavily backordered on this item ! My initial ship date was 2/12. Then it changed to 2/18 ... and just now when I checked they show 2/18 :( Hope I'll get it by the end of the month.

If anyone else ordered this, could you please let us know how long it took you to get it.
