also ... in my own history at least ... pioneer drives die after a year or so ... while toshiba drives dont ...

Anyone know what the digital audio extraction rate is for both drives. I think I'm going to get one or the other as well but can't decide. So far I'm leaning towards the toshiba, which I will get as long as the DAE isn't crappy. Thx for any help.
