HOT Deal on Creative Zen Portable Media Center 20GB

The Zen Media Center's are freaking huge! I think it'd be better just to spend the extra on the Ipod Video for an extra 10gbs and something more portable.

I bought one of these and love it. It is perfect for long airplane trips and can handle video and MP3s with no problem. I travel a lot and I also take with me my PSP (games), Zen player (movies and music) and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. The headphones assure me that I can hear the audio while on the plane with all of the background noise.

Great find
Does anyone know if this require software conversion or can you just download the files and it will play. I Had a Mustek player and the software conversion made the thing useless. You would have to convert to a format the program understood like VCD, MWA and then it would convert and download from its software. Thing stunk and would crash constantly.

Hey Ricemarine actually I also have bought the Zen Vision:M 😀 for 250 bucks thanks to a hot deal post here:thumbsup:, but was looking for something else, came upon it and thought it was a decent deal if u don't mind the huge MIR.

1Lee try the creative official site to see what video codecs are supported on it, or just google a review, they will be sure to mention it

I have the thin Samsung version. It uses WMP10 and WMP10 will transcode anything that plays in WMP10 to the correct formats (Sorry, no flash, Quicktime or Google video but I consider WMP10 support THEIR failure). I like this BETTER than native support because that means a MUCH smaller filesize. Why have a DVD-quality DiVX on a portable that only has a 320x240 screen? The WMV codec it uses is a h.264-like MPEG4 derivative.

This thing is freakin' awesome and before anyone recommends one of those larger capacity and greater format devices, shut up and show me one with TiVo to Go AND Media Center / DVRMS support.
