Hot deal on Cool HSF

Excellent HSF, and I had good service with the two silicon aoustics orders I've placed.

The Nexus 120x25 fans they sell are also nice and very quiet, I have one in my SLK3700AMB music server case as an intake fan to blow a little cool air onto the stack of hard drives. Temps were fine without it but with 4 HDs I thought it might extend their lifespan.

Is this a decent HSF for an Athlon 64 to be OCed abit? Also I noticed an all copper version for $10 more.

It's great for both OC and for near-silent cooling at stock, it's one of the best HSFs you can buy for A64 socket 754 and P4 socket 478. A bit of googling will turn up positive reviews all over the place.

The copper one cools only a tiny bit more but is massively more heavy, way over intel (and AMD?) recommended weights.

Nice deal. I may have to pick one up, as I am planning to eventually turn my current PC into a PVR/HTPC when I upgrade next and this could be just what I need to lower the noise level of my OC'd 2500+ to near silence.

yeah, i heard the copper version can be dangerous due to excessive weight. not that it cools much better either. i would have jumped on this deal if i wasnt gonna pick up 7000B-ALCU for less instead 😉

this is the one that doesnt just clip into p4 retention brackets, older model

else id get it if was newer model
