Just returned from the b&m with an IOMAGIC 12x DVD ROM kit on clearance for $14.47. Marked at this price in the cabinet and rang up on the till at that price too. Looks like it might contain PowerDVD s/w according to the specs. See link here

enjoy.

The Addison, TX store still had one left in the cabinet .

sku on my receipt reads... 078806902103 ( I'm sure someone will tell us the actual sku is only a portion of that number )

I think that's the UPC. That's good enough, thanks.

I bought this at Circiut City a while ago, $9.95 after rebates. It has PowerDVD version 2.0 so a bit old but for the price who cares. Nice find, but none in my area.

None of my loca OD has it.

How do u know that? Called?

yeah, they can match the UPC to item no. Anyway this drive is discontinued long time ago and now they carry the iomagic 16x dvd drive instead.

<< does anyone know what kind of rebadge it is? >>

Mine's a BTC Model BDV212B manufactured 2000/09 (taiwan).
Not hooked it up yet, so can't comment on it. Came with Powerdvd 2.5x.

I had one of those its not a Toshiba that's for sure and the PowerDVD software blew chunks(lots of herkyjerky during playback)...tried three different DVDs before uninstalling the included s/w and installed my fav..WinDVD 2k ..smooth playback...as always YMMV.
