Bestbuy is running a special this week... pay $150 up front and get $80 MIR, bringing it down to $69.99

You can order it on their website on which they have free shpping too!

A hot deal would be less than $.50/gig ;)

But this is a good deal if you need a hard drive. :)

I think Compusa (or maybe also Best Buy) has the Seagate 120GB for $60 after $70 rebate. Lower price and smaller rebate too :) Oh, and Seagate rocks!

hot means that $ is 1/3 or 1/4 of the GB #,
for example, for a 120G internal hdd, hot price (AR) should be <$40

that's a SIZZLING hot deal

if we were to just post those deals in here we would only have one or two posts a week

but this one in particular is not really hot, you'll have to pay tax on 150bucks, which is ...roughly over 12 bucks in california so you're paying 80+ bucks for 120...not really hot

There are no rules for 'hot', you fool. You just know them when you see them if you're familiar with a certain product's market pricing. If we went by your books, three quarters of the threads here would be invalid.
