I printed it out and I have a copy of the 12% OFF Customer Appreciation Days Coupon and order confirmation DATE just for back up.

This is what I did.>>>>I placed the order on the phone 1-800#. Used the CSR to Order Camera and she told me THEY will apply it to my online order "after" they process order, They said.

If I don't get the 12% OFF, I have PROOF and will take it to local store Manager with my paper work.

I think the A70 deal for #250.00 with free CF is hotter and has more value !

But yeah if you need the additional .9 MP ......

People should look at the actual specs of the two cameras. There is more to it than 3.2 Vs 4 MP.

Benefits of A80 over A70 in no particular order:
4.0 Vs 3.2 MP
Slightly longer optical zoom (114mm Vs 105mm)
Aluminum Vs plastic body
LCD swivel. Can also be turned facing in for protection.
9 point AF VS 5 point AF of the A70
The same better, larger CCD that the G3 uses
More and better user controls. "Custom 1 and Custom 2" settings on the thumb wheel for quick access to stored settings. Less messing with LCD settings.

Having the extra MP is nice as well. 11 x 14 prints are a nice benefit. It is also handy for outdoor shots. 3X zoom is a bit limiting. With a higher MP size you can use the digital zoom or zoom and crop in post processing and get better results since you have a greater pixel count to begin with.

The A70 doesn't have a plastic body.

The A70 is plastic with an Aluminum clad front. A80 is an all metal body. Read the reviews.

We need to keep this within the thread guide-lines....What makes this a Hot Deal is the extra 12% Off coupon.
I think that will fix it. :D

That was only ONE of the reasons I went with the A80.....metal body vs Plastic covered. Which is in some of the reviews I read. Like this one from Epinions..

Concerns and things I do not like
Overall, I do not have a lot of concerns or dislikes for my A70. I would prefer a metal body to the plastic body, but the plastic body appears to be pretty solid. Likewise, I would prefer a metal tripod mount to the plastic one on the A70. I suspect that the plastic will strip more easily.

I had too much trouble with the OD A70 deal and just went ahead and got the A80 from Staples.

The 12% is the same as the Employee Discount for those who encounter cashiers that don't know how to ring it up.

Thanks for the heads-up KyFan.
