Seems like a very good deal, AR. I was able to place an order for local store pick-up. Now waiting on the confirmation email.

For those curious, this is a Microcenter rebate for 4/2/06-4/29/06.

Anyone know if is this card shorter then a 6800GT length wise? I need a card for the wifes computer but my old 6800GT/OC is a couple of inches to long.

I ordered through the phone number. CSR said they had plenty of stock and order should ship tomorrow.
This is a great price for this card. Great Reviews, too. Selling for $300-$500 at various stores and fleabay.
256MB DDR3, 16 pipes, 540 core and 1180 mem clocks.
Just buy 1 or 2 and leave some for the rest of the folks!
WOOT! Need another PCI-MB

I got in on the MicroCenter X850XT AGP deal last November. Just a word of caution for those considering this deal, I have STILL not received my $50 rebate from ATI. The rebate was accepted, but has been stuck in the "processing" stage for over four months now. I have called ATI a few times now regarding this, and they basically told me there is nothing I can do but wait.

Gee, thanks ATI. Over five months now since I bought my card and I've lost faith that I'll ever get my rebate.

Anyway, just a heads-up. I hope all those going for this deal have better rebate luck than I had.

Yep, it seems to be a trend. And this is referring specifically to Microcenter/ATI card rebates, there's entire threads dedicated to the topic. But $200 is still a good price.

To clarify, people HAVE gotten their rebates, but not a single one came without a great deal of effort expended in pushing it through.

Just got back from picking up my card. Can't wait to install it, test it out, and then get the rebate sent out (they only give you 15 days from the invoice date to send it).

Funny thing, the price in store is $249 "after rebates". I didn't bother to look at the details since I prepurchased for $199, but I mentioned the price difference to the guy at the counter. He shrugged and said that yeah, the web and store prices are often different.

ATI rebates take forever.

I'm talking several months. My last ATI rebate took like 4-5 months I believe.

It's probably cuz they're Canadian. If you convert that to American, it's only 2-3mnts which is about normal ;)

Yea, thanks - they're now back in stock. I have one in my cart for $222 shipped but i'm not sure if i should proceed. According to mulitple reviews, MC is very bad about honoring rebates....

FYI, I called a minute ago to figure some stuff out.....

#1 The rebate # is 1-888-645-6516 (the recorded voice is near impossible to hear... give it a ring).

#2 - Check your status Here
Microcenter seems to contract thru GFS, a rebate processing company in Meza, AZ.

#3 - There is a thread at HF that seems to show the CSR's (and company) in general are shady... For an ATI Agp rebate, but an FYI before you (there are several more, if you search for microcenter on HF) buy

Bottom line is, the price is right, even without the rebate. It is somewhat of a dealbreaker for me if the rebate doesnt come through. Any other thoughts/experiences on dealing with Microcenter & Rebatets?

I was considering ordering this card, but not worth $200 for me if the rebate doesn't come through. I'm already having to deal with a $40 PNY/Newegg rebate that got denied FOUR times, each for a different reason. I'll pass on this.

Rebates make alot of things look attractive till you have to wait like 4-5 months for it. Off topic, I am still waiting for a $60 SATA Hitachi HD rebate to come back from CompUSA since last October. I resent it in December but c'mon 4 months later and counting!!!!

Pardon the rant.

Ordered on 4/21
Received on 4/25
Sent Rebate info on 4/26

Card is big & heavy. I opened the package and found VIVO cables. Anyone else verify this is VIVO?

Putting it in a Dell 5150 purchased from outlet.dell.com for $279.00
Bump up the RAM to 2GB and add an NEC 3550A DVD+-RW.... NICE !

Great deal if I get the rebate... (I better or they will get very tired of my daily calls!)

THANKS OP!

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't buy this card for $50. I owned one when they first came out, and that was a big waste of money. The 6600gt I upgraded from was just as fast. The 7800GTX I have now is far, far superior.

DON'T BUY IT!

RRIIght...I had a BFG 6800GT OC'ed ot ultra speeds, and this x850xt pe benches better at it's stock speed...lol by about 15% and about 25% better when OC'ed...but you need a better cooler for this card, the stock cooler is too loud and doesn't cool very well...a replacement cooler will drop max temp by ~25-35 degrees
