UPDATE 3/6/01: It seems that techbargains took the codes off their site. Click here instead for the codes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright here it goes... (dunno if this is old news to you guys..)
This is a really* good deal for ppL that has a digital camera.

Go here (<----codes are gone), scroll down to Shutterfly and you'll see a bunch of codes for it. They should be active still. Of course you get 25 4x6 for signing up already.. w/ all the other codes you should be able to get:

60+ free 4x6's
5 free wallet prints
4 free 5x7 prints
2 free 8x10 prints (yep... that's TWO 8x10 prints)

For those of you that has an account w/ them already, you can still use these codes.

Shutterfly Newbies: sign-in, then on the right-hand column (under "My Special Offers"), click on "Enter a special offer code".. and then you'll know what to do. All you have to pay is Shipping and maybe tax.

If you never tried Shutterfly before, you've got to. They print the BEST pictures!!! Not to mention their prompt service and really nice packaging. I would order pictures from them even w/o the promo codes. BTW, they have LOTS of tools to enhance your pictures!! (trust me, don't just upload the pictures and go straight to ordering 'em.. Check out their Enhancing features.)

Hope I didn't leave out anything.. :Q

EDIT: Do not enter the codes until the day you need to place an order. (Write them down just incase techbargains takes them down) After you enter the codes, they stay active for a month. And the last day to enter them is June 30th, 2001.. so no need to hurry. Hope this helps..

UPDATE: Their 25 free 4x6's when you sign-up promo ends 3/31/01!! L@@K here. Unlike the Toshiba promos, this one stays active for 60 days after* you sign-up.

"Participants in this special offer will have 60 days from the date of sign-up, or until May 31st, 2001, whichever is sooner, to place orders for free prints."

So... USE THESE FIRST.

Anyone have any advice for settings to use when scanning in existing prints for uploading to the shutterfly service? I usually scan at 300DPI in RGB color mode...

refer a couple (up to 10) friends (emails) and get up to 100 more prints for free. I just recieved a 10 prints i got through Yahoo and they look better than reg. developed film. This is a good find.

The price is great but keep inmind that S-fly ranks near the bottom in most comparison tests. Not a crap, just saying do this for the free ones and go elsewhere for the paying pictures (photoaccess.com)

I just received a whole bunch of pictures from ShutterFly, they were *VERY* good quality. I'm going to be receiving another batch this week too, but I'm very satisfied with them thusfar. Go for it.

the photos I just got from photoacess was terriable compare to the shutterfly I got. The photos was cut so bad, many different sizes although they were all suppose to be 4x6.

He is refering to a comparison test done in the latest edition of Popular Photography magazine. Don't remember what the results were exactly but also seem too recall that Shutterfly ranked worst on most tests.
