Saw this in the Sunday paper:
32MB EDO memory
- 8x32 - 60EDO
- 72 pin SIMM
- Extended Data Output
Here's the spec for extra memory for the HL-1440 according to Brother's FAQ:
These printers can accept SIMM memory with the following specifications:
Speed: 60nsec-80nsec
Pin Type: 72pin
Height: 25.4 mm (1.00") or less
Output: 32 bit or 36 bit
The speed, pin type and output all fit the spec. You need to double check on the height though. It's not described in Fry's ad so I don't know if it'll fit in the HL-1440.
$9.95 is a good price for 32MB EDO memory. I got my 32MB extra memory from Crucial for $30 or so several months ago.
