Hot Deal Folks, a poll about your ethics

I've done a bunch o Hot Deals over the last month.

Almost felt guilty when a local store PM'd a Linksys WMP54GS for a WMP54G yesterday...

Give the thread a bump & brag about a Hot Deal you've done recently:evil:

i like how you "almost" felt guilty about deceiving the local store. if you feel bad about it, stop, stick to the legit hot deals.

I don't feel guilty, I'm gloating😉

Yeah, I applied the five finger discount to a stick of gum when I was a little kid.

$0 out the door ... can't beat that

but I did feel guilty afterwards.

I don?t participate in the deals that I feel are unethical.

Example: You obviously know that product xyz should be $89 or greater, but there's a mistake on the site and it's displaying as $0.89 (89 cents).
I just hit the back button when I see those.

Well, what about those deals where you do a PM to get the benefit of both one store's IR and another's MIR? Aren't those sometimes morally questionable?

Example: PMing Compusa's TB Santa Cruz at $39.99, getting it out the door at CC for $35.99 (after 110% PM) and submitting the $30 rebate anyway? Isn't the $30 rebate meant for you purchasing it at MSRP?

Example 2: PMing Staples' Minolta 1350W printer at $99.99 (after $80 IR) to OfficeMax, then submitting the OM $80 rebate, even though it was intended for you to use when you buy it at $179.99.

Don't those deals sometimes seem pretty questionable to you guys? I personally realize that while legal, these types could seem kind of wrong.

Those are the best, especially when you eBay them without the UPC😀

I have ~$600 in rebates outstanding.
