How are you going to shock yourself with 12 volts??? You'd have to stick the wires in your mouth with the computer on!!! LOL!

Hopefully anyone skilled enough to perform surgery on these fans would be smart enough to unplug the computer first...then again maybe not ;)

Got mine today. They are nice. Not loud at all. In fact, my power supply fan is louder. But that may be because I have an incredibly loud PS.

phantasm, good name, cuz your link is a Phantom since it contains your Session ID. That's why there isn't a direct link to the product. You link brings up nothing but an error.

ericd - thanks. i ordered those fans from peerlesselectronics.com. sweet deal for panaflos at 3bucks a pop. much quieter than antec fans, i have a few of those 80mm too. i would recommend these fans as well if anyone is interested, as ericd said, you do have to buy 10, and they dont come with any connectors. :( but a small price to pay for a $3 fan.

looks like quite a few of you are in need of quality fans. not sure exactly what model this antec is but the 4pin ive used arent that great at all. for 5 bucks it may be ok and reliable enough to build for your mom, but as far as oc'ing and "windtunnels" heh, go get those panaflos or NMB's and such. sorry dont have any links or specs handy i just wanted to point you guys in the better direction.

btw, something i havent seen people mention much about is the CURRENT DRAW. aside from the brand/ballbearing/sleeve/fin design, i think a .25amp fan is a helluva lot more powerful than a .10amp fan.

but anyways, my cfm and waterblock days were unexpectedly cut short. methinks its time to take inventory and head on over to the forsale/trade =P

ericd, does peerless sell connectors? So I can take care of everything at once in case I find someone else in NY who needs one of these.
