<< You could buy a share of Enron for 13 cents more! >>

Or you could buy 3 shares of @HOME and still have some left over to diversify.

<< Take a trip down memory lane >>

Shouldn't they say CPU lane? Sombody call the Smithsonian...

Ya know, it kind of makes me sick to recall I paid $2500 for a PC with one of those, once.

I don't want to thread crap, so if anyone wants to know where to get a new one for not much more than these used ones, PM me ;-)

actually those were produced in Malasia in a very good batch. I have been able to overclock this puppy to equal a p3 992mhrtz.
but i did use some watercooling and other tricks.
So speeds will very.

I was able to overclock one of these babies about 10 or 11 MHz once!

That was awsome!

You could overclock them to 40mhz with a heatsink/fan, made a huge difference with Doom framerates. Stock config only needed a heatsink -- those were the days!

Wasn't it this chip that they intentionally disabled the DX's math coprocessor circuitry to sell 'cheaper' systems? It actually cost them more to make the SX version, but then they could sell you a separate math coprocessor for an upgrade.
