I have looked at HP's site and all the laptops I see are over $1000. Do you have a link for this stuff??

i played with it for a minute, couldn't get the prices to match exactly, one was off by $100, so maybe there is a $100 MIR. Good deal for someone looking for a laptop.

Edit: i tried to do "Compaq Presario R3000Z notebook, AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+ 1.60 GHz, 15.4" WXGA, 256MB, 40GB, 8x DVD-ROM, XP Home, 802.11b/g Wireless Card » only $646.10 + Free Shipping"

It came to $829 - $30MIR. So if it is 10% off $829

$829 - $82.90 -$30MIR = $716.10

Off by $70, i'm sure someone can figure out where my config is off.

this setup isn't possible @ that price unless I"m totally missing something

I end up with 1004 - 10% - $30 rebate = 873.6

the only closest one is selecting the celeron m 1.4 which is
929 - 10% - 30 rebate = 806

Both the rebates need original UPC. Hence, you are correct... you will not get both the rebates!

YOu have to change the configuration of the laptop you choose to what he specified in the thread, then apply the 10% coupon and deduct $100 for the mail in rebate.

Probably the $100 rebate is what is throwing you off.
It is not listed when you configure a system on the website.

But there are links to the rebate if you look on the hpshopping website. According to several people over at FW, they have called hp and confirmed that the rebate is valid for these laptops.

How does this compare to the Office Depot Presario R3000 deal of 2 weeks ago?

10% off coupon now live again! Deals above modified accordingly!

Hurry, the 10% coupon is currently working without the minimum requirement of $1299+ purchase. This will NOT last long!

Sure it is not as hot as $750 off $1500+ Dell laptop coupon, but it is great for people who wanna buy a HP or a Compaq laptop! :)

compaq x1000 is a great laptop. i have it and it beats dell ibm and all the rest in terms of cost to performance ratio.

10% with 100.00 rebate and self upgrade of ram is the best deal for it.

for more info. go to www.x1000forums.com
