Vista's going to be a resource hog for sure no matter which level people choose to install. You'd also have to expect some kind of performance hit anyway on a system that's going on four years old. The question is, when is a good time to upgrade?

There are those people who choose frequent upgrades preferring to stay with the latest innovations, however I prefer the most bang for the buck approach, and the current dual core chips don't qualify in my view. Quad-core chips on the other hand, do qualify and that's my upgrade path. When I do make that upgrade, you can be sure I'll be using Intel's technology. :thumbsup:
