Went to my local bestbuy to buy the Kingston 256MB PC2100 DDR memory on the pricematch with Officemax (of course without the rebate they had it marked $39.99 on the shelf) and I asked one of the employees in the computer area if they would pricematch the BFG Asylum ti4200 64mb card with the Compusa $99 after instand and mail in rebates, he asked the manager and sure enough I picked up the card for $107.xx including tax and no rebates to mess with, check your local BB B&M you're luck may vary...

How do you figure nobody else will be able to cash in on this deal?? A buddy of mine just upgraded his PC and I helped him, BB B&M had the ATI Radeon 7500 AGP/PCI 64MB DDR card on sale for 79.99 - 20 mail in rebate, I went to Compusa and purchased the same card for 79.99 plus they pricematched the rebate with a nice new $20 dollar bill... BB is automatically pricematching the 256MB PC2100 DDR Kingston deal, it says 39.99 on the shelf, they will match a rebate price, they always do if they can't offer the rebate they will knock the rebate off the price, and they usually do it automatically, so how do you figure nobody else will be able to cash in on this deal??

The difficulty in this deal is that a) Best Buy does not pricematch online, you have to do B&M. and the tough one
b) Finding this card in the 64 MB version at Best Buy to PM is going to be tough, last few I called only had the 128 MB version, which is ineligible for PM.

Unless you got a Best Buy person who was totally dim (a distinct possibility)

C for that list is that its hard to get a different store to honor a mail-in rebate as an instant rebate. Deal is a big YMMV.

While you're point is generally correct, best buy seems to always pricematch other peoples rebates with instant rebates, usually with Compusa and their hard drives, again with officemax and their memory, i suppose it is YMMV, but its definately worth a shot, worked for me and two friends now already and most cities have more than on best buy to try... Good luck

yeah and some of us, like in northern colorado, arent even blessed with a compusa to PM to, and have better things to do than drive 60 miles to find one.

tired of seeing posts that dont mention having to be a B&M PM monkey, and im suprised there was no mention of the stupid msn rewards that everyone sticks into their final thread price these days.

how bout a deal with no catches or inane hoops to jump through?

hmmm, what a foreign concept. 🙂

When Circuit City was offering Splinter Cell for $49.99, with a $10.00 gift card, Best Buy just took $10 off the price of the game for their pricematch. Deal could possibly work, but I would say YMMV, since this is a mail in rebate, not an at the register incentive.

I just got back from my BB and they didnt even have a BFG Asylum ti4200 64mb card. They had a 128mb one, not even a spot for a 64?

We live for the hoops here.
