This offer is so HOT! You'll make $120.01 on this deal after mail-in rebates! (The rebate links are right next to the product at Amazon.)

There's a $70 Rebate from Sprint.
And a $120 Rebate from Amazon.

Here's the specs on the phone:

Built-in speakerphone

Includes lithium-ion battery and travel charger
Unit Weight: 0.22 oz.

There are some other great deals in cell phones too. There are some that work out free after rebate too like the Motorola V60t (AT&T activation required).

I donno . . . $35/mo is the cheapest plan on the phone, and that seems quite expensive to me . . . Then again, I generally use my cell phone for 20 hours in a couple days, about once ever 3 months, so no plan can beat the pay as you go plans for me.

for these amazon deals does the phone plan have to be bought through amazon.com at the same time?

This is a very nice deal for those of you with Audiovox Maestro's, want to surf wirelessly, and don't already have wireless phone service. You can hook the Maestro directly up to this phone with the provided cable and surf wireless anytime you want, the minutes come out of your regular voice minutes. If I didn't already have SprintPCS service and don't qualify for the rebate, I'd get in on this!

WARNING : It says the phone will ship in 24 hours on the product page but when you are about to check out, the estimated shiping date is 6/28/02. The $150 amazon rebate says you need to purchase and activate the phone by 7/2/02. Hence, you have to pray the phone gets to you in 4 days (2 working days) or you'll be out 150 bones. Good luck...

Once again Sprint PCS shows they only care about new customers and not current ones.

But my brother has this phone, and the battery life is actually very good, as compared to other PCS phones.

BTW, you can activate on month to month plan until the rebate comes in and then sell the phone, if you want.

This will not work since Amazon does not offer a month-to-month Sprint PCS plan. You must purchase a Sprint PCS plan with a miniimum 1 year advantage service agreement through Amazon to qualify for their current "Up to $200 off Select Cell Phones" rebate promotion. Also, be VERY CAREFUL using any type of Amazon promotional code with a Sprint PCS phone purchase as it will invalidate the Sprint PCS $70 rebate. If Sprint sees any type of discount listed on your invoice you will not get the $70.00.

I almost made this mistake with the Radio Shack Sanyo 6200 for $100.00 promo until I decided at the last minute to call the Sprint PCS rebate center and verify eligibility of the rebate. Basically they said if there is is any discount, instant savings, instant rebate price ocverride, etc. on your original receipt/invoice that you send with your rebate request you will NOT get you Spcint PCS $70.rebate.
