I was wondering why there is only one reply for my last post, and I noticed that I didn't includ "Audigy" in the topic.

Here comse the story:
I bought Hercules Game Theater XP 6.1 last week, but it didn't give me enough power for my Sony MDR-CD780 headphone. So, I have been looking for Audigy. Then, I found that CompUSA had 199.99-50.00(rebate) and my local BestBuy (LA area) had the same thing for 149.99. So, I asked the price verification at BestBuy, but it just said "Sound Blaster Audigy" (no word for "Platinum".) So I just grabbed the price tag and brought both to CompUSA to price match. And it worked!! So,199.99 -> 149.99 (PM) -> 99.99 (AR).
I'm gonna check how it will sound right now!!
p.s. CompUSA has 15% restocking fee if you don't like the stuff, so be careful.

Now here is the impression: The sound is definitely better than Live. The headphone output has a lot of power, too. Left/Right separation is good. But somehow, Hercules Game Theater sounded more realistic. ( in other words, live<audigy<Game Theater for audio quality, assuming you don't use a headphone or if you do, you have an amp. ) So if you have an amp for a nice headphone, Hercules is the way to go.
Then, the new EAX. I think Goldmine demo was nice, and it gave me a feeling that the new EAX effect would be worthwhile. Hercules's one doesn't have this. (in other words, live<Gamet Theater <Audigy)
I'm using Japanese version of Windows ME and installing a driver was confusing. On a CD, it says "for ME/2000/XP" (WDM driver?), but when I checked soundblaster.com, they have the new WDM driver only for 2000/XP. There was a VXD driver fo 98/98SE/ME, but it didn't work, because I had WDM driver. And i couln't even switch from WDM to VXD driver. So, yeah, I don't like the way they make a driver.
Now, the PLATINUM exclusive part. "INTERNAL DIVE" This has a remote controller which is very cool. Having a headphone jack , microhone jack and 1394 in fornt is plus. BUT it has a flat cable like ATA cable from PCI card, so it blocks the aiflow.... (Maybe I should buy a rounded ATA cable. ) And first I put it right under the DVD Drive, so the picked up the noise from a running DVD. So be careful.
OK, I think I put too much stuff in here, so i stop here.
